West Coast Instruction Canadian Firearms Safety Courses

West Coast Instruction offers the Canadian Firearms Safety Courses required for a firearms license or PAL (Possession and Acquisition License) and the CORE program required to obtain a hunting license in British Columbia.
Our instructors are federally certified examiners and bring over 20 years of law enforcement experience, training and professionalism to each class.

CFSC / PAL
The Canadian Firearms Safety Course (CFSC) is required to aquire non-restricted firearms in Canada. The Canadian Restricted Firearms Safety Course is also required for restricted and/or prohibited firearms. The courses cover firing techniques, safety practices and responsibilities for handling, storage & transportation.

CORE
The Conservation and Outdoor Recreation Education program, or CORE, is required to obtain a BC hunting licence. The program consists of a practical firearms handling test and an introduction to laws/regulations, firearm safety, first aid, animal and bird identification and conservation and ethics.
